Oscar's
version of a great day is when a newscast producer and a promotion
producer agree on a dynamic choice of words that would make someone
curious enough to tune in. No facts stretched. No credibility
ruptured. Just benefits viewers will gain by watching. And points
on the board for his clients because viewers are watching more.
Oscar
has over 30 years of experience as a broadcaster and broadcast
marketer. The team he led as Creative Services Director for WPLG
in Miami still holds a record for maintaining the number one position
for all locally programmed areas — including news —
for 52 consecutive sweeps.
Prior
to that, he was the Emmy-award winning Executive Producer of PM
Magazine in Cincinnati and Miami. He has since served in executive
marketing and leadership positions for stations in Orlando, Indianapolis
and Philadelphia, and as head of his own firm, Welch Creative
Group.
Oscar
lives in Orlando with his wife, Mindy.
